How to do a good job in waterproofing bus ducts
Some projects may require the use of bus ducts outdoors. In such cases, we need to consider how to waterproofing the bus ducts. Today, the bus duct manufacturer will take everyone to see how to do a good job in waterproofing bus ducts.
In actual use, if water directly enters due to poor protective measures or is eroded by long-term water vapor environment, it will inevitably cause a decrease in insulation. Long-term operation will lead to short circuits, burn out bus ducts, and cause major safety faults in the entire electrical circuit. In such cases, necessary protective measures must be taken during the installation process.
First of all, it is necessary to choose bus duct products with a higher IP protection level. Currently, the IP protection of bus duct products can reach IP68 or above, which can basically meet the general water and air conditions for use. However, if they are directly installed outdoors in areas with abundant rainfall, the following methods should also be adopted:
1. Add a waterproof eave to the outdoor part of the bus duct and install a rain cover to prevent rainwater from entering. The material of the waterproof cover should be corrosion-resistant, and waterproof measures should be taken at the joints.
2. It adopts a new type of waterproof bus duct (also known as cast bus duct), which uses high-performance insulating resin to directly cast and seal the busbar. The protection level reaches IP68, and it has four protection functions: waterproof, fireproof, anti-corrosion and explosion-proof. It is a new type of bus duct without a metal casing, suitable for various harsh and high-cleanliness environments.
